Approximately five hundred amino acids occur in nature. Twenty of these are amino acids that serve as building blocks for proteins in the human body, these are referred to as 'fundamental amino acids'. These fundamental amino acids can be subdivided into the categories 'essential', 'semi-essential' and 'non-essential'. 'Essential' means that the body cannot synthesize the amino acid itself from other amino acids, and one is completely dependent on diet to meet daily needs.
This product contains L-5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), extracted from the seeds of the African plant Griffonia simplicifolia. 5-HTP is the already converted and biologically active form of the essential amino acid L-tryptophan. It is the direct precursor substance of the neurotransmitter serotonin and the hormone melatonin.

Suggested use
As a food supplement for adults, take 1-2 capsules daily with water, during a meal or before going to sleep. Adhere to the recommended dosage. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. A dietary supplement cannot replace a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children. For optimal storage conditions, store in a cool, dry place. Caution:
Do not use in combination with medications that affect brain metabolism, such as antidepressants and sedatives.
