Resveratrol is an important defense compound and one of the best researched polyphenols. Fruits and vegetables today contain an estimated 80% fewer polyphenols than they did some sixty years ago. For this reason (resveratrol is naturally found in limited amounts in the diet) supplementation may be a wise choice.
The enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) has been added to this formula for several reasons in the form of TetraSOD® which has been shown to provide 30 times more SOD activity. In addition, this nutrient contains not only SOD, but also the enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase.
