Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a mushroom and grows on the trunk of birch trees, from which it extracts betaline acid. Chaga does not look like a mushroom, but rather a black/orange protrusion on the tree that is very hard. Chaga does especially well in cold, harsh climates.

Chaga is an adaptogen. Adaptogens are non-toxic plants that help bring the body back to a level of homeostasis. The herbs and roots have been used for centuries in China and in Ayurveda, but today they are booming in the Western world as well.
Chaga contains many different substances that provide adaptogenic effects, such as vitamins, minerals, phenols, enzymes and antioxidants. Suggested use
