5-HTP 100mg

5-HTP is a converted form of the essential amino acid L-tryptophan.1 Amino acids are needed for the formation of proteins, and can be divided into three groups: essential, semi-essential and non-essential amino acids. Your body cannot make the essential amino acids itself, so you must get them through food. Fortunately, these substances occur naturally in significant amounts in our food. L-tryptophan is found mainly in animal products, such as meat and dairy. Turkey, for example, is a particularly good source of L-tryptophan. For this reason, it may be more difficult for vegetarians and vegans to achieve the necessary levels of this amino acid through food. Supplementation could be of added value in such a case. 5-HTP is produced when tryptophan develops into serotonin. This is also found in nature, such as in the seeds of the Griffonia shrub.

Safety
Do not use in combination with medications that affect brain metabolism such as antidepressants and sedatives. Caution is advised when using medications that promote serotonin production (especially antidepressants). This is because 5-HTP 100mg can enhance the effects of these medications. More efficient than L-tryptophan
