MILK THISTLE-PS 60 CAPSULES

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is an herb that has a very strong reputation, particularly for supporting liver function and sugar metabolism.* The name 'milk thistle' comes from the legend that the white spots on the leaves come from milk from the Blessed Virgin Mary. For milk thistle supplements, the seeds (fruits) are usually used for extraction. The black pericarp contains flavonolignans (including silymarin, the main component of which is silybin), flavonoids and phenol derivatives. Silybin is the main active component. Vitals' milk thistle-PS contains the marker ingredient Siliphos®, a milk thistle extract standardised on silybin with greatly improved bioavailability due to its combination with phosphatidylcholine (Phytosome® technology).

Milk thistle extract (silybin) supports liver function in two ways. It affects the structure of the outer cell membrane of the liver cells, preventing toxic substances from penetrating into the interior of the cell. In addition, it stimulates regeneration and the formation of new liver cells by influencing specific enzymes.*

Furthermore, milk thistle can contribute to a normal and stable blood sugar level by positively influencing the sugar metabolism.*

Usage:
1-3 capsules daily with water, with a meal or as advised. Stick to the recommended dosage.
