Ingredients
Metagenics bis Akkermansia is convenient and easy to use. One tablet per day is sufficient and does not require refrigeration. In addition, the product has been scientifically tested. The first placebo-controlled study in humans was published in Nature Medicine in 2019. The essential ingredients of Akkermansia are green tea with EGCG (helps control your weight), chromium (helps maintain normal blood sugar levels) and vitamin B12 (helps maintain normal mucous membranes).

What is the Akkermansia muciniphila?
The Akkermansia muciniphila bacterium was first discovered in 2004. It was isolated from human gut microbiota and characterized in the laboratory of Professor Willem M. de Vos (Wageningen University, Netherlands), co-founder of The Akkermansia Company™. Shortly thereafter, the team of Professor Patrice D. Cani (UCLouvain, Brussels, Belgium), the company's other co-founder, discovered the effects of this bacterium. In pasteurized form, it is stable, long-lasting and easy to administer to humans.
